If it was your sister instead, what would you tell her?

1-39

I’ve often wanted to ask men… If the tables were turned and your sister was being treated the way you treated the last girl you dated, what would you tell her?

The boys I’ve heard of recently (“boys” because their actions are far from “man-ly”) are very close with their sisters (or so they appear to be…) — which is a beautiful bond / relationship. I admire it. BUT, these same boys who adore their sisters do not treat the women they date with the same respect.

Why is that? Where is the disconnect?

Why do they treat an intimate partner with such carelessness?

It shouldn’t matter whether you love the girl for a night, a week, a month, a year, or the rest of your life — your current actions are not acceptable.

People are not play things to be swiftly discarded. You put in the time and energy to get that girl by your side, have the decency to treat her respectfully.

Show the woman the same care you wish to bestow upon your eventual wife (no matter the duration of time she is in your life).

Have integrity.

Remember guys, women talk… What words do you want whispered behind your back?

What feeling to you want to leave her with?

Would you prefer: He’s a wonderful man and we shared some lovely moments together…

— OR —

Would you prefer: He left me hanging… He didn’t have the decency to tell me he wasn’t interested, he just disappeared. He treated me like I didn’t matter. He made promises he didn’t keep.

Please note: “he” can be exchanged for “she” in any of these scenarios because I know women behave this way too.

Remember, it’s never too late to make it right.

What impression do you want to leave people with?
