Quoted from the late, great Carrie Fisher (October 1956 – December 2016) — and here’s the full quote:
“Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.”
I found the graphic quote above when The Week quoted Carrie and later found the full quote — I think my favorite line is, “What’s important is action.”
Action is instrumental in everything you do. Nothing can be done without it and everything gets done once you start taking it.
ACTION! is my favorite form of movement because it means you are getting somewhere, you are moving in a direction (any direction) that is different from where you are right-now.
Fake it till you make it — also comes to mind.
When someone asks you if you can do something, say yes, and figure it out along the way. Learn on the job (which is truly the best way that I learn how to do things regardless — let me at it!)
So, go on, take ACTION!!!
