All is Fair in Love and War

You know that person… The one that gets underneath your skin and no matter what you do, you can’t destroy the camp they built there?
That is this story.
They met when she was sixteen…
-Excerpt from my up-coming novel “Evangeline & Gabriel” by Clare Angelica

Woo-hoo!!! I’m writing again! (And, not about pirates — who are still very near and dear to my heart.)

I am in the rough draft phase of my fourth fiction novel — this one is getting a little personal, but as @silverman.poetry (Instagram account) said, “We all write, Either to hurt or to heal, Either to hide or to reveal.” Pretty spot-on.

I’m not quite sure what this next novel has in store for me… but I am definitely going to reveal some things, I am going to heal some things, and I am going to take poetic license where poetic license needs to be taken because, hey, it is my story. If you don’t like it, write your own.

This plot is a little less complicated (character wise — there’s two leads instead of six!) See The Siren’s Sea Trilogy for more info about my first fictional undertaking šŸ™‚ Yet, it involves first-loves, last-loves, and all the loves in-between. The story (obviously) focuses onĀ Evangeline and GabrielĀ as they navigate life towards each other, away from each other, and then back and forth again… We’ve all been there (I’m just writing about it in a very public way).

My hope is that you (as the reader) will be able to relate to the characters, the circumstances, and the love that is felt between two people (that never quite goes away). What we all choose to do with that love is, of course, up to us.

Enjoy this crazy ride called life!
