In case you didn’t know… I’m a “dog mom” (exclusively at the moment) 🙂 Time will tell what wonderful adventures life brings me, but for now, this picture is a throwback to a rainy day in Colorado, spending time with one of my dear friends, and watching our fur babies anxiously awaiting clear weather so we can go play in the mountains!
“Family” has many different faces and facets to it. Some families are blood, some are created as people come and go from our lives, and new families are created everyday as we make commitments to partners and bring children into this world. Some families are un-traditionally made while others are determined at birth. We all have choices and are able to mold and create the right “fit” for us, no matter what that means.
We get to pick and choose.
Some people are unable to have children while others are quite prolific. It is an amazing experience to witness how cohesively humans can work together when it comes to making certain family dreams come true.
There is no right or wrong way to have a family. What’s best is what works for you, no matter what that looks like.
I am so grateful for everyone that I consider “family” in my life because you are all truly inspiring, comforting, supportive, give me a needed “reality check” as needed, loving, exciting, push me when I’ve been still too long, remind me to be brave, and show me how wonderful it is to “show up” for everyone you care about and love (fur babies are included in this = my lil pup is part of the family package) and receive (because the path really does go both ways).
Be filled with life’s blessings!
