A wonderful, creative, quirky friend of mine wrote me this quote and I felt it would be an injustice to him not to use it exactly as written 🙂
This quote makes me happy. It makes me feel free to read the words and feel their meaning.
When I really get into the flow of my creativity I let go of my need for perfection because I can’t get the words out quick enough. Plus, you realize that it’s only a first draft and that what matters most is that you get the words out, not how eloquent they are. I am able to create something that far surpasses my expectations and takes on an even better life than I could initially give it.
When you accept total abandon you allow yourself the freedom to create without limits. You are liberated from the restraints you place upon yourself and you simply are. You are the work you are creating. You are the balance, the craze, the joy, and the sorrow of what you release yourself into.
