Advice From a Poet

“The value of things is not the time they last, but the intensity with which they occur.”

-Fernando Pessoa, Poet

Time has no concept of intensity.

Intensity can last a lifetime or simply a moment — but the feeling is burned into your memory.

A touch between another that lasts only a second can send shivers down your spine like you’ve never experienced, and then that person is gone, but the memory remains.

That feeling is what we all search for with an unfillable hunger.

Cherish every moment of intensity that comes your way — and hold dear those who stay and continue to bring intense moments into your life everyday.
